Our Pastor

Ben Van Arragon grew up in Southeastern Ontario. He attended Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario, and graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, with a degree in Psychology and Health Studies. This qualified him perfectly to drive a soft drink delivery truck, which he enjoyed for a year. Ben’s truck driving career was cut short when he answered the call to attend Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, Ontario. There he completed a Master of Divinity in counseling, at the completion of which he went on to Calvin Theological Seminary to pursue requirements for ordination in the Christian Reformed Church.

When Ben is not studying, writing, and collaborating with members of First Church, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, playing music, riding bikes, and reading just about anything.
